The world’s most egg-cellent animated series from Huevo Cartoon finally cracks the U.S. big screen with UN GALLO CON MUCHOS HUEVOS! The first computer-animated Mexican movie to hit the movie theaters in the US is doing really good since the opening week.
Toto, voiced by Bruno Bichir, was born the runt of the litter. But, when an evil rancher threatens to destroy his home and his family, Toto must go from a timid young “chicken” to a brave and scrappy rooster. Toto and his friends must band together on an egg-citing adventure that will prove that big surprises can come from little packages. Aside from Bichir, the voices include Angelica Vale, Maite Perroni, Omar Chaparro, Ninel Conde, Carlos Espejel, and more. Directed by Gabriel Riva Palacio and Rodolfo Riva Palacio.
The film was released on September 4 in just 395 theaters nationwide in Spanish with subtitles in English and so far took in an estimated $7 millions. It was produced by Mexico’s Huevo Cartoon Producciones for a just modest $6 million, so it will be a moneymaker for all involved.
I had a opportunity to chat with Mexican Bruno Bichir about the movie.
Let’s check it out:
