Directed by Lisa D\u2019Apolito, the documentary works as touching tribute that features interview with those closest to her, including:\u00a0her brother Michael Radner and\u00a0<em>Saturday Night Live<\/em>\u00a0alumni Chevy Chase, Lorne Michaels, Alan Zweibel, Laraine Newman and Martin Short, Gilda\u2019s writings are read by modern day comedians inspired by her including Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Cecily Strong, and Bill Hader.<strong> LOVE, GILDA<\/strong> opens on September 21!<\/p>\n<p>I had the opportunity to sit down with the talented director. We spoke about Gilda, how she came about to the recordings, the challenges to put this film together, and more.
