The new Amazon Original movie is about a important woman, a scientist who changed the world. I’m talking about Marie Curie, polish and naturalized-French chemist who conducted research on radioactivity and it was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize.
RADIOACTIVE explores the life and times of Marie Curie, from her marriage to and work with husband Pierre to the discoveries she made even after his death.
Based on a graphic novel, the film was directed by Marjane Satrapi, who previously adapted her own critically-acclaimed graphic novel Persepolis.
The film will be available on Prime Video on July 24 release on Prime Video and it was directed by Marjane Satrapi. The script was written by Jack Thorne.
The film stars Rosamund Pike, Sam Riley, Simon Russell Beale, Yvette Feuer, entre outros.
I had the opportunity to speak with Marjane Satrapi about why she picked Marie Curie, choosing the right actress, the script, the challenges on the editing room and more.
Check out my interview with the director Satrapi.
