Teen Spirit is in theaters since April 12 in Los Angeles and New York, and expands nationwide on Friday, April 19th. The drama follows Violet, played by Elle Fanning, a shy teenager who dreams of being a pop star and want to escape her s,all town. With the help of an unusual mentor, she enters a local singing competition, such as American Idol or The Voice, that will test her integrity, talent and ambition.

Driven by a pop-fueled soundtrack, Teen Spirit is a visceral and stylish spin on the Cinderella story. The film also stars Zlatko Buric, Clara Rugaard, Agnieska Grochowska, Olive Gray, and more. Written and directed by Max Minghella in his directorial feature debut.
