Amazon MGM Studios released this week the official teaser trailer and first images of VERITY starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett. The teaser didn’t disappoint and I just can’t get it out of my head! Check it out:
Based on Colleen Hoover’s New York Times best-selling novel, this seductive, psychological thriller follows renowned author Verity Crawford – played by Anne Hathaway – and Lowen Ashleigh (portrayed by Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity‘s chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
The psychological drama is directed by Michael Showalter and the screenplay was penned by Nick Antosca. The film also stars Ismael Cruz Cordova e Brady Wagner.
VERITY opens in theaters on October 2!
