The wait is over!!! Walt Disney Animation Studios’ RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON is hitting Disney+ with Premier Access on March 5! The animation releases at the same time in select theaters.

RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world – it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.

A couple of weeks ago, I joined the virtual Global Press Conference for Disney’s RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON. The attendees were directors Carlos López Estrada and Don Hall, writers Adele Lim and Qui Nguyen, producer Osnat Shurer, Kelly Marie Tran (voice of “Raya”), Awkwafina (voice of “Sisu”), Gemma Chan (voice of “Namaari”), Daniel Dae Kim (voice of “Chief Benja”), Sandra Oh (voice of “Virana”), Benedict Wong (voice of “Tong”), Izaac Wang (voice of “Boun”), and Thalia Tran (voice of “Little Noi”).

Crew & Cast members answer the question from the moderator, Jeannie Mai: “What do you feel when it comes to the timing of this film, and what do you hope audiences will take away from this? And maybe how can it-how can it influence what’s happening today in our everyday lives?”
