There’s one more star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles! However, this time around it was a Latino talent who got the recognition, and a very well-deserved one at that.
Mexican actor, writer, director and producer Eugenio Derbez was honored on Thursday, March 8th, with a star on the legendary sidewalk, the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Eugenio Derbez is one of the most influential creative forces in Latin America and the most recognized figure among the U.S. Hispanic population.
His most recent film, Instructions Not Included, broke some box office records and earned more than $100 million.
During today’s speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Derbez told the crowd that his mom used to take him to the movies as a hobby but later on that hobby became his passion.
He also added, “… I feel blessed that life gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams…. and this [the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame] is for my family and Latinos everywhere…”
Eugenio Derbez’s star is the 2,576th star in the Motion Pictures category and can be found at 7013 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
