Disney+’s SAFETY | Cast chat about the new drama

The inspirational life tory of Ray-Ray McElrathbey got his own movie now! The new drama SAFETY, inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey, follows a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. Aided by his teammates and the Clemson community, he succeeds on the field while simultaneously raising and caring for his 11-year-old brother Fahmarr.

SAFETY, directed by Reginald Hudlin, is streaming now only on Disney+.

The film stars Jay Reeves, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Corinne Foxx, Hunter Sansone, James Badge Dale, Matthew Glave, and more. Written by Nick Santora e Randy McKinnon.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend a virtual press conference for the new Disney+ film. Attending the press conference was director Reginald Hudlin, actors Jay Reeves, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Corinne Foxx, and Hunter Sansone, as well as the film’s subject, Ray-Ray McElrathbey.
