Singer and actress Selena Gomez is back in the third installment of the franchise Hotel Transylvania. She admitted during the roundtables interview at the Sony Pictures Animation press day that took place last month that dubbing an animated character was uncomfortable and strange at first, but then later it became “a great learning experience”.

“Hotel Transylvania’s animation were the first one that I was part, so they were a great learning experience […] and it was weird at first. I remember that, literally, I was sweating (while dubbing). It was very strange in the first sessions, and by the time we made the second one it was just getting carried away, “explained the superstar.
Selena returns to the crazy and monstrous universe in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, which hits theaters in July 13. We will join them as they embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship so Drac can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel. It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s Pack as the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to exotic excursions, and catching up on their moon tans. But the dream vacation turns into a nightmare when Mavis, voiced by Selena Gomez, realizes Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka, who hides a dangerous secret that could destroy all of monsterkind.
This franchise had a success at the box office before: Hotel Transylvania (2012) achieved $358.4 million dollars worldwide and the sequel, Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015), surpassed the original one by scoring $473.0 million. “I love coming back here with everyone,” said Selena.
